Tsuba japonaise en fonte de fer. Modèle représentant un samouraï, lance à la main, visage et main en cuivre, habit cousu de fils d’argent. Au dos figure un rappel de la lance. Sur les armes japonaises, et notamment les Katanas, la garde s’appelle Tsuba, sa fonction est de protéger la main et de l’empêcher de glisser de la poignée appelée en japonais « Tsuka » vers le tranchant de la lame. Cela assure l’équilibre par contrepoids et permet de parfaire les techniques de défense d’un Tantô. Epoque : fin du XVIIIe siècle.
