Masquette rituelle en vannerie tressée pour fêter la culture de l’igname. Cet objet est issu de l’ethnie Abelam de Papouasie Nouvelle-Guinée de la région du Moyen Sépik. On remarque sur la pièce des restants de pigments naturels rouge et blanc. La cérémonie de l’igname (légume) se déroule autour des maisons des hommes sur la place principale du village. La maison des hommes était l’endroit où se réunissaient les chefs, notables et sages de la communauté.
